Andrew Shaul Psychology Partners to Create Dating School in Toronto, Ontario

Happy Dates © to Conduct Workshops on *Key* Challenges Affecting Daters

Toronto, Ont., September 27, 2011 – Psychologist, Dr. Andrew Shaul (www.shaulpsychology.ca), and matchmaker and dating coach Stacie Ikka, founder and president of Sitting In A Tree (www.sittinginatree.com), have partnered to create Happy Dates ©, a dating school that aims to help single men and women be more successful in their dating, regardless of their age or current level of dating expertise.

The skilled “EduDaters” at Happy Dates have developed workshops that will help single daters overcome common challenges and barriers which may be preventing them from developing lasting relationships. Happy Dates provides their clients with individualized assessments of their dating obstacles, along with the tools and strategies necessary to augment their approach to dating. Using Dr. Shaul’s 23 years of psychological counselling experience, and matchmaker Stacie Ikka’s practical, real-world experience dealing with daters on a daily basis, as well as her 15 years of corporate leadership experience, the workshops get to the heart (pun intended) of what is plaguing the daters of today.

Dr. Shaul explains, “Having people to date is only a beginning. While this can be accelerated or facilitated through a dating service, online dating sites, friends, family, and so on…then what? Both Stacie and I believe that in order to be successful at dating – to “give good date”, the individuals involved must be prepared: emotionally, socially, and psychologically. Through Happy Dates’ workshops, single, divorced, widowed or otherwise romantically unattached men and women have the opportunity to learn about, and explore, the many challenging aspects of dating so that they can better recognize in themselves areas where improvement or change are required.”

Happy Dates is pleased to mark the launch of the dating school by holding an introductory workshop entitled “Dates and Confused”. This initial workshop will be offered free of charge and will take place on October 25, 2011 at 7PM at The Thirsty Fox Pub, located at 1028 Eglinton Avenue West. Happy Dates will reveal its diagnostic test that assesses “Dating Intelligence” by pinpointing areas that a dater needs to improve in order to date more successfully. Feedback from the test will include one confidential, half-hour session (on an individual basis) after the course date with both Andrew and Stacie to review the test results and to understand how to use the results to move forward in a practical manner.
